Writing a message and placed it in a bottle was a relatively common practice in the past. Archaeologists found an example of this during excavations in the ruins of an ancient village in Gauera in France.

The message of the bottle would have been written about 200 years ago by the archeologist PJ Freet, who worked on an excavation at the Cité de Lima site in 1825. The paper was wrapped and tied with rope.

In the letter, Fret reported that he was part of several scientific societies and said that he would continue the research “to all the vast archeological complex” of the site. The team responsible for the discovery stated that several people in the past left “time capsules”.

  • The city’s municipal records and indicate that the archeologist PJ Foret really excavated the place for the first time 200 years.
  • It would have been during this period that left the message bottled.
  • If the appointment of objects is correct, it will be the oldest message that is left in a bottle of the world.
  • The Guinness Registry is currently a German bottle launched on June 12, 1886, and found on January 21, 2018 in Australia.
