Anti-vaccine pressure grows and US stops recommending Covid immunization

The American health regulatory body, the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) declined the international scientific recommendation to encourage immunization against Covid. The decision is based on the position of the Secretary of Health of the United States, Robert Kennedy Junior, who is known for his personal views against vaccines.

Previously, the incentive for vaccination against Covid-19 was in place since the “golden age” of the pandemic. With this new guideline approved, civilian access to vaccines will be more difficult. There are still no official confirmations if the population in favor of the vaccine will, in fact, need a prior medical consultation.

  • US Health Secretary Kennedy Jr. prepared a vote to decline the incentive for immunization against Covid-19;
  • If approved, the decision could make access to vaccines more difficult;
  • The election also voted to prevent the tetraviral vaccine in babies, agreeing that separate doses should be given.

Another consequence of this decision rests on the health plans that, until then, were obliged by law to pay for the vaccines considered mandatory by the CDC. The committee voted that at least one medical prescription is sufficient for citizens to have access to the vaccine, but the discussion was dismissed.

Other votes also drew attention: the approval of the use of the tetraviral vaccine in infants. In other words: a single dose (vaccine) would be sufficient to protect the body from four diseases at the same time, namely measles, mumps, rubella and chicken pox.

This claim, however, also fell to the ground: it was decided that Instead of a single dose, babies will need separate doses (ie four bites) for immunization against each disease. According to experts, this separation of doses could make adherence to vaccination campaigns difficult.

Despite the decisions made by Robert Kennedy Junior, it is still necessary for the interim director of CDC to sign the documents to make them official.

Kennedy Jr. is already known in the media for defending anti-vaccine policies (here, he says that “vaccines cause autism“, scientifically proven to be misinformation, as you can see here.) In June of this year, he fired all the doctors who were part of the group, which was essential for sharing scientific opinion on topics such as diseases, treatments, inspections and immunization.

In place of these health professionals, names have been admitted who are also linked to anti-vaccine thinking and who constantly criticize or raise doubts about the effectiveness of immunizers.
