Axioma Space Astronauts arrive at the space station

On Thursday morning (26), axiom space astronauts arrived it International Space Station (ISS). The crew was launched at Dawn on Wednesday (25) on board the Capsule of Spacex’s crew at Falcon 9 Rocket.

The capsule was docked at ISS at 7:31 AM (Brasilia Hour) on Thursday, and the four astronauts entered the orbital laboratory at 9.30.

The crew will remain at the space station for about two weeks, conducting microgravity research, as well as educational and commercial activities, before returning to Earth and landing on the California coast.

The group is composed put: Peggy Whitson, a former NASA study and current human space flights in Axiom as a commander; the Isro astronaut and pilot (Indian Space Research Organization) Shubhanshu Shukla; and Missions Experts: ESA (European Space Agency) Astronaut Sławosz Uznański of Poland and Astronaut of Hungary in Orbit Project Tibor Kapi in Hungary.

The new crew was received by current ISS members: Nasa Nicole Ayers, Anne McClain and Jonny Kim; The Astronaut Jax (Japanese Aerospace Agency) Takuya Onishi; and Cosmonauts Kirill Peskov, Sergey Ryzhikov and Roscosmos Alexihiky and Alexey Zubitsky.

The mission marked the arrival of the first Indian astronaut to ISS, the result of a collaboration between NASA and Isro.

Axiom spatial launch

The AX-4 launch, the fourth mission of the private company Axiom Space, was scheduled for Sunday (22). However, NASA requested more time to evaluate the operations of the International Space Station after recent repairs in the subsequent segment of the Zvezda service module, to ensure the safety of the crew. Axiom Space and Spacex, responsible for launching the mission on board Falcon 9 and Crew Dragon, announced the postponement, initially without a set of dates. On Tuesday (24), companies announced on Wednesday a new attempt for Alba.
