The robot makes impressive Parkour movements; look

A four -legged robot capable of high -speed Parkour maneuvers was successfully tested by Robotistas and AI experts from the Corea Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (KIST).

The robot is able to plan and keep track of its own movements, which allows it to move freely in various environments, explained the group in an article published in the journal Science Robotics.

Parkour is a method that allows you to overcome quickly and efficiently between obstacles, whether walls, buildings or stairs, using only the skills of the human body. Now, not just human.

Successful evidence

With four legs, the robot is designed from a driver that allows you to plan the route and inform where to put your feet and how to use the body to move safely, allowing Parkour movements.

This planning system was created through a pre -ruling neural network with a map. The planner used Earth’s data and the position together with the camera data and feedback sensors.

The team then tried Raibo in laboratory environments to verify not only the performance, but also the robot mapping capabilities.

The results were amazing: Raibo is able to run vertically on a wall from short distances, jump over 1.3 meters and cross a rock covered route, as well as climbing ramps and stairs, climbing boxes and descending on the other side.

The team now plans a second version of the robot, with improved capacities and safe movements. The idea is to make the team useful for use in disaster areas or in other difficult environments.

The digital aspect recently reported the advances with Boston Dynamics Robot Atlas, which has become able to show movements with high precision and flexibility, including a perfect unpleasant one. You can check the video here.
